This Tree
Approval will expire on 26 June 2008 unless a complete development plan review
application [see Section 16-3-303] is submitted or, where development plan review is not
required,the approved activity is completed.
2) This approval is based on plans drawn by Key Engineering, dated 4-1-06.
3) Stakeout inspection prior to clearing. Stake edges of all parking, drives and building, as well
as pathways of all utilities. Minor changes to the parking will be made during this inspection
to better preserve trees. Erect tree protection fence as shown on site plan. Flag trees to be
removed in red.
4) On landscape plan, substitute Loblolly bay (Gordonia lasianthus) for sweetbay magnolia.
Sweetbay does very poorly on the island.
5) Prior to installation of landscaping, meet with Natural Resources Administrator to review
native vegetation in buffers. Do not remove natives in buffers to install planted material.
More plant species native to Hilton Head Island need to be substituted for non-natives on
landscape plan.
6) To meet the standard for non-buffer trees, plant 7 inches of black gums, 10-12 feet in height
at time of planting, in non-buffer areas.
Sally L.
